Tunza's Pride

 of St. Helens, England

Tunza's Pride is a St. Helens based Charitable Organisation.

'Tunza' is the character who heads Children & Young Persons Welfare Charity, 'Tunza’s Pride', a charity aiming to assist Organisations in getting a positive message through to Adults as well as their Children, primarily working with Schools, Nurseries, Play Schemes Youth Groups & local Businesses.

Tunza encourages children & young people to think of and help other less fortunate children & youngsters in need of help & assistance.

'Tunza' is the Swahili word for “caring for” and the ethos of the group is the care and welfare of everyone in our Community, especially vulnerable children and young people. Our work stretches throughout the St. Helens Borough, as well as the whole of the North West.

We also support initiatives with origins in the area whose objectives a to help others from other parts of the UK or abroad.

We raise funds by putting together at least one 'large scale' social event every year. We are able to do this with the help of our dedicated team of Directors and Volunteers.

The event featured an opening 'Circus' theme, a 'Michael Jackson and Jackson 5' tribute and top class entertainment provided by Carrie Fitzpatrick, a Clubland Recording Artist as wee as Tunza himself, dancing to 'Billie Jean'!
